Application

Cleaning and Retrieval

Handling: Grasp only the edges, avoid touching the central light-transmitting area to prevent fingerprints and oil stains.

New products: Pre-cleaned before leaving the factory, ready for immediate use. For those with germophobia/sterile experiments: Soak in 75% alcohol for 5 minutes → Rinse with distilled water → Dry with lint-free paper/air dry.

Cleanliness Standard: Uniform and bright light transmission, free of spots, watermarks, and scratches.

Three Standard Film Production Methods

1) Smear method (blood, bacteria, cell suspension)

A:Place the glass slide flat, and add 10–20 μL of the sample near the center to the right.

B:Take another clean glass slide to spread the drop at a 30°–45° angle, pushing it steadily to the left to form a thin and uniform film.

C:Air-drying / Fixation with mild heat (bacteria) → Staining → Microscopic examination.

2) Tablet method (tissue, apical root, cell clusters)

A:Add 1 drop of distilled water / saline solution / fixative to the center.

B:Use tweezers to take a small sample and place it into a droplet for spreading and dispersion.

C:Place the coverslip at a 45-degree angle, first touching the edge of the droplet, then lower it slowly to avoid bubbles.

D:Gently press the coverslip with absorbent paper to remove excess liquid, then proceed with microscopic examination.

3) Temporary Mount (for quick observation, to be used on the same day)

A:Compression method: Sample + droplet + coverslip.

B:Direct microscopic examination; use on the same day, prone to drying and contamination.

Fixation, Staining, and Mounting

A:Fixation: Air-dry (blood); Methanol/Ethanol 5–10 min (cells); Rapid flame clearing (bacteria).

B:Staining: Apply the staining solution to the sample → Stain according to the instructions → Wash with water → Dry by blotting or air-drying.

C:Mounting (Permanent Preservation): Apply neutral mounting medium to the edges of the coverslip without bubbles, and let it dry for long-term storage.

Precautions

• 7101 No frosted area, no markings allowed; select 7105 (frosted on one end) for marking.

Avoid scratching the central area to prevent impairing visibility.

After use, promptly clean, dry, and store in a dust-free manner.

Packing, Storage and Transportation

●Packing

The package of microscope glass ground edge slides should have a logo and label, production date and batch number. Such products shall be packed 50pcs or 72pcs per box with single specification per box.

●Storage

Should be stored in a ventilated, moisture-proof and rain-proof place to avoid mold.

●Transportation

Should be prevented from violent shaking and tipping during transportation.
